We were very pleased to welcome Julian Sturdy, the member of parliament for York outer, to the CF unit last Friday. Mr Sturdy met with Lynsey Beswick, CF Trust public affairs officer for the North of England, and with the CF team here at Y...ork in order to understand and discuss the work that we've been doing in developing the CF service here. He also had the chance to discuss issues that affect people with CF. We'd like to thank Lynsey for arranging this visit and thank Mr Sturdy for taking the time to find out about the sevice here at York. You can read about the visit in the York press www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/11046805.MP_hears_about_work_of_Cystic_Fibrosis_Unit_at_York_Hospital/

Good news about parking here at York hospital. We have been working closely with the parking office and have been able to secure free parking for people with CF coming to the hospital for any in-patient stay or out-patient visit. Please make sure that you bring your parking ticket in with you and give it to one of the CF team. We will make sure that it is validated so that you don't have to pay when you return to your car. If you are attending an appointment elsewhere in the hospital (for example a physio or diabetic appointment) please contact the CF team on 01904 725601) Please let us know if there are any problems with this.

Our survey of people using the adult CF service here at York is now complete. Make sure that you have a look at it and let us know if you have any other opinions or ideas. It's really important that you let us know about anything that we're doing well and not doing well. We can only be the CF service that you want if you tell us what that is. Thanks to everyone who has filled in a survey or let us know their opinions and big thanks to Lynsey Beswick at the CF trust for collecting surveys and writing the report. You can access the survey results here.
